The Proof Research Lone Peak Prefit 6.5 CM Carbon Fiber Barrel 22 inch is designed to fit the Fuzion, Fuzion Ti, Razor and Razor Ti actions from Lone Peak Arms. Arriving chambered and threaded, the CF Lone Peak Arms barrels are ready to be installed with just a few specialized tools. Using the proper action wrench, the barrel can be torqued on and it is recommended the headspace is double checked, with proper gauges, before firing the rifle. Proof starts every CF barrel with full-profile match-grade 416R stainless steel barrel blanks that are turned down to a reduced profile. When reduced, the contour barrel is wrapped with high-strength, aerospace grade carbon fiber that has been impregnated with a proprietary matrix resin, developed by Proof Research ACD. Carbon fibers diffuse heat along the length of the barrel, and moves the heat effectively through the walls of the barrel.  This in turn, greatly increases heat transport that results in faster cooling barrels. All of these features lead to maintaining accuracy over longer sessions of fire, and will live longer.
