The LWRC SIX8-A5 FDE Rifle was designed to have superior knock down power over the tradition 5.56 Nato Rd, one shot one kill. This LWRC 6.8 SPC Rifle weighs the exact same weight as their IC A5 5.56 AR-15 Rifle and has slightly more felt recoil than the 5.56 cartridge. Its light weight and low recoil design makes it perfect for hunting effectively out to 450 yards, perfect for taking down hogs, deer and medium game animals. LWRC's SIX8 A5 comes with their own nitride treated 1/10 twist cold hammer forged spiral fluted barrel with a adjustable gas block. It's nitride barrel treatment last twice as long as traditional chrome lining and their spiral fluted barrel reduces total barrel weight by 20 percent. Furthermore the spiral flutting improves barrel cooling and barrel rigidity. Their two way adjustable gas block is designed for use with a supressor and it's adjustable gas key is marked S Up for suppressed fire or it can be turned side ways for none suppressed use. Also the adjustable gas key has a 6.8MM diameter hole machined in it, this allows you to use the tip of a 6.8 bullet to adjust the gas key when it is to hot to turn by hand. All of the SIX-8 A5 gas piston componets are nitrided treated and case hardened, including the the piston cup, spring and spring cup. Another huge upgrade is the LWRCi one piece nickel boron coated bolt carrier, it is machined out of one piece of steel and features relief cuts in the rear of the bolt carrier for water submersion.
