The LWRC IC-Enhanced 5.56 Upper 14.7 inch is LWRC Internationals Military Series gas piston 5.56 AR 15 Upper Receiver, it is equipped with a bayonet lug and shorter 9 inch handguard. LWRCi's Enhanced AR 15 Complete Upper Receiver was designed for military trials, this is why it was designed with a bayonet lug. This Enhanced upper receiver is outfitted with LWRCi's upgraded 1/7 twist cold hammer forged spiral fluted barrel with a two way adjustable gas block. It's Enhanced barrel is nitride treated, this nitride treatment out performs chrome lining in every aspect and more than doubles barrel life. LWRCi's Spiral fluted barrel also reduces overall barrel weight by over 20 percent, It also improves barrel cooling and barrel rigidity. It's adjustable two way gas key is designed to reduce gas pressure for supressed fire. The adjustable gas key is marked S Up for use with a supressor or it can be turned side ways for regular none supressed use. Furthermore it's gas key has a hole machined in it, this hole is designed for the tip of a 5.56 bullet, for adjustment when the gas key its to hot to turn by hand. All of the Enhanced Uppers gas piston componets are nitrided treated, including the piston cup, spring and spring cup, they are also case hardened to ensure longevity. Also the nickel boron coated bolt carrier is machined out of one piece of steel and features relief cuts in the rear of the bolt carrier for water submersion.

The LWRC IC-Enhanced 5.56 Upper 14.7 inch comes with LWRCi's own monoforged upper receiver. Its Mono-forged receiver features a solid 10 screw mounting system that bonds securley to the IC Enhanced Upper's proprietary handguard. The top of the Enhanced handguard is easily removable via its two thumb screws, this gives access to the gas piston components for cleaning and dissasembly. Every LWRC Enhanced Upper Receiver groups ship with a buffer, buffer spring, rail sections, sling mount and the tool with screws.
